Meet Sierra Weltha

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I first started out working as a writer and product photographer for one of the top-ranked cruelty-free beauty blogs, My Beauty Bunny. From there, I went to friends’ music shows and started photographing live performances. I was even fortunate enough to go on West coast tours with artists Keep Your Soul and Goldn.

Over the years, I’ve shot weddings, products, headshots, artists, architecture and so much more! I just love bringing my camera places.

Currently, I work with the world’s best San Diego startup crowdfunding marketing agency, Launchboom, where I help position brands and take product photos for their product launches.

It’s been a wild ride taking my hobby and turning it into my career, but I hope to be just scratching the surface. I strive to continue to educate myself and grow in my craft and hopefully eventually shoot for top influences or brands like Nike— hey Nike, if you’re reading this, hire me please (wink, wink)

Please tell us about your art
My main art form is photography. However, when it comes to art, I believe there are no limitations. Art is finding creative ways to express yourself. I love taking photos, but I also love trick hula hooping, acting, modeling, writing, and drawing. I find that stretching myself in many different ways of art keeps my spirit alive and helps me create more. I hope others are inspired by this and seek out what makes their spirit thrive.

As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
Success to me is to be growing continuously. I never want to fall into the rut of getting bored or being boring. I love exploring new avenues and stretching my limits. I also find it important to work with people, products, and brands I believe in and personally support.
