Destinations Med Spa was started almost 12 years ago! It was based on the concept of privacy and convenience for the clients. We are completely a concierge practice, which has made us stand out from our competitors. We were actually watching the television show Ugly Betty and saw Vanessa Williams receiving botox in her office! This sparked our idea of bringing services to the individual and off we went!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No road is every smooth in business… or in the vanity world! Our concept of partnering with salons/spas took a while to get up and running. We had to overcome the lack of trust many individuals had with previous doctors.
Destinations Medical Spa – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
DMS is 100 percent mobile and qualified. We have a unique business model. We have the ability to treat clients in their homes, businesses, boats, and at our partner salons/spas. We are in almost every city in San Diego County, parts of Orange County and we even have an account in Imperial County!
We make professional convenience our priority. We strive to work longer hours and are more accessible than other med spas in the state. We offer lasers, dermal fillers, plasma therapies, micro needling, Botox, Dysport, and chemical peels.
Each year for the last five years has been another record setter. We grow through referrals and hard work! We like to think that our partnerships with salons and spas helps them generate revenue and increase medical aesthetics in our industry. We are a win-win situation for everyone.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The first year after the economy crash… and we realized we had held strong and grown under huge adversity when our industry took a major financial hit.
