Isa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was inspired to start The Social Tale after noticing a spike of eco-friendly, consciously-created brands launching on social media. They had the platform, but lacked connecting with their target audience in a way that would not only drive sales, but build lasting genuine relationships and authentic connection.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Marketing and PR is always a bit rocky, but that’s what makes it fun! You never know what will come your way at any given point, whether it be a mishap in the supply chain or a global pandemic. However, my main takeaways from every rollercoaster are: know your worth, make yourself irreplaceable, and always continue to innovate.
Please tell us about The Social Tale.
My company, The Social Tale, is a creative marketing agency for conscious brands. We specialize in social media management, email marketing, influencer relations, copywriting and content creation. It’s important to me that each brand we work with has a value-driven mission, whether it be a zero-waste initiative or helping consumers feel their best through accessible organic and pure nutrition.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Ooo! What a fun question! Hmm, my favorite memory from childhood is probably on my 7th birthday. I had been waiting for a few weeks to get a new bicycle that I knew I’d be unwrapping as a birthday present, and the day finally came to ride my new bike. I started riding it around the pool and accidentally fell in the water. I was SO bummed and so scared, but I learned something really important that day. You waste moments by waiting for things— vacations, relationships, successes, new bicycles… when in reality, it’s not that moment or that object that will bring you joy (especially because it can be taken from you in a moment). It’s the journey that brings us joy. I try to remember that on a daily basis so I can be more present in the “now” and savor each moment as if it will be gone with the next.
