Meet Stacy Fisher

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Fisher.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I fell in love with photography when I started a lifestyle blog in 2012. I bought my first DSLR camera, experimented with shooting interiors (mostly my own home), and eventually found my focus shift towards portraits when I had my first daughter, Bryn, in 2015. Friends soon started asking me to photograph their little ones and because it just felt so natural, I decided to officially offer family photography as a creative service.

Please tell us about your art.
I am a lifestyle photographer based in San Diego, specializing in cozy in-home family sessions. I also have a blog featuring laid back interior design, casual personal style, and the power of self-care, all while navigating the ups and downs of motherhood.

My greatest inspirations revolve around the concept of comfort, in both creating inviting spaces, as well as documenting the stories within. In addition to family photography, I also offer interior photography, interior styling, and professional organization services. My goal is to encourage others to find the benefits of living in spaces that allow them to unwind and truly express what they’re all about.

What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
I love attending creative workshops any chance I get and lately I’ve tried to make more connections through social media. It’s not always easy for me to put myself out there, but I’m finding it’s well worth the effort.
