Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie and Jesus Bello.
Stephanie and Jesus, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Both 18 years-old and new parents we were confused as to what our future would look like. My husband (Jesus) at the time was a merchandiser for Coca-cola and didn’t see himself working there too long.
My dad being a real estate broker suggested we started a service business. Our first tax return was invested into a small portable machine that was basically a package for a start-up company. We invested our last dime into that package.
After that, we got to work! We made flyers, went door knocking had all kinds of coupons going on. A year later after having demand for our service and us being more educated on what Carpet cleaning was, we upgraded. In October of 2009, we got our first van fully equipt and finally a truck mount.
Our services became better, we became IICRC certified and continued to strive for our business, including adding more services to our business. Fast forward ten years later we can now count on brand new equipment and a steady business.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been very difficult, we were both 18 with a newborn. We had no idea what it took to run a business. I think one of our biggest struggles was having to remove yourself from a regular life of a 21-year-old and force yourself to truly focus on our future.
It took a lot of mistakes even in advertising choices and people who just want to take advantage because we were so young, because of that not a lot of people took us seriously. A lot of ups and downs but overall Its been a beautiful learning experience.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be waking up in the morning to the smell of freshly baked flour tortillas. Something my mom rarely did so when I would wake up and smell them, I knew it was going to be a great day.
