Steve, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Battle Axe Mobile started four years ago as we were having a hard time finding a brick and mortar location for Battle Axe San Diego. Being the first axe throwing facility in San Diego, nobody believed what we were trying to accomplish and nobody wanted axe throwing inside their building so I came up with another idea until they came around – Battle Axe Mobile
I purchased a trailer, found a welder, showed him my plans, and we built Battle Axe Mobile. Battle Axe Mobile is a mobile axe throwing trailer that we bring to the customer instead of the customer coming to us. It consists of two targets and we’ve been to events from Los Angeles to Palm Springs.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a smooth ride because we’ve had zero accidents. Having a clean insurance record allows us to have great conversations with our insurance company and since Covid people want entertainment at their house for private parties.
As you know, we’re big fans of Battle Axe Mobile. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We were the first Mobile Axe Throwing company in California as we started this way before it became popular. We specialize in bringing axe throwing entertainment to private parties, company outings, wedding receptions, cocktail hours, new car releases, etc. Most of our events are in San Diego but we’ve traveled to LA and Palm Springs before for events.
What sets us apart is we have the proper setup when it comes to what insurance is looking for. I see our competitors try to copy us but they don’t have the proper setup for what insurance is looking for.
What we’re most proud of for our brand is how much repeat business we receive. You know you’re doing something right when a customer repeatedly books you for their events.
