Meet Tammy Rydahl of simple

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Rydahl.

Tammy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have a passion for design and stumbled upon a love for creating organized spaces without sacrificing style. I have for as long as I can remember organized my own spaces in my homes and had a noticeable feeling of accomplishment, pride and joy each time. Not to mention I saw myself become more productive on a daily basis. I believe that organization has a way of transforming you! It brings a feeling of happiness and truly makes us more productive in life.

I began to think about organizing for other people. I liked the idea of having the opportunity to bring that same joy I was feeling to others. I started slowly with one job here and there and was elated with the reactions I was receiving from clients. I have been honored to help many clients over the past year and hope I am not only organizing lives but also changing them!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As with any new idea, making the business a reality takes time and a lot of work. The biggest challenge for me has been time. I am a one-woman show and the proud mother (who strives to “do it all”) to 3 amazing children! Business has grown faster than I expected. Growing pains I suppose and I am more than happy to welcome that challenge and conquer it! I will do what it takes to provide a great service to my clients.

simple – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business is called – simple. Yes, all lower case because I like to be different like that! Organization – style – function is my tagline and I think it perfectly describes the business.

I organize spaces in a stylish manner that remains functional! I organize pantries to closets to garages and do not limit organization to spaces. I tackle paper clutter and help clients unpack with moves as well. My services cover a wide range and sometimes are customized to what the client’s needs are.

What I feel sets me apart from other professional organizers is the aesthetic of my jobs. I deliver a simple solution that is pretty to look at and use my creativity in the process so each job is different.

The thing that I am most proud of about my company is how it is making people feel about their homes and lives. I feel so empowered knowing that organization creates more time for people and enables them to live a more balanced life!

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I don’t think I have a proudest moment. I feel so proud each time someone tells me how the organization has changed their life! I hear this on almost every job! I am proud of what I do every single time – it’s amazing!
