Meet Taylor Morrison of Grey Suede in Downtown San Diego

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Morrison.

Taylor, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started Grey Suede in 2015 as I was moving away for the first time to San Francisco. It began as a way for me to keep in touch with family and friends and share with them my adventures, recipes, and style. It quickly evolved as I realized I had the opportunity to make an impression on young women going through the same stages of life as me as well as to engage with women who had daughters or nieces my age. Fast forward three years and I am back in San Diego striving to make Grey Suede a destination for women living authentic lives looking for inspiration that crosses fashion, beauty, food, and lifestyle.

Has it been a smooth road?
I struggle finding a balance between working a full time job, raising a crazy Weimaraner, finding time to spend with loved ones and friends, and creating content that my readers love at Grey Suede. Time is my biggest obstacle and there are many nights when I wish I could press pause on the clock.

I’m trying to build a community at Grey Suede that inspires women to live an authentic life and this mission forces me out of my comfort zone, pushes me to work harder, and learn faster.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Grey Suede – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Grey Suede is a blog committed to being a source of inspiration for all women with a passion for living an authentic life. I share my experiences as a twenty something finding my own sense of style, beauty, and adventure.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Best: Being a San Diego native, it’s really difficult to narrow down what I love most about San Diego, however I am always in awe at how active the community is and how I can be on a beach, in a park, in the dessert, or mountains on any given day of the year.

Least: Public transportation! I don’t understand why the trolley can’t take you directly to the airport and run parallel to the major freeways.
