Today we’d like to introduce you to Adilene Bautista.
Adilene, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always loved everything to do with beauty so I became a cosmetologist on August 14, 2017, but I have been doing nails since I was 18 years old, now, I’m 25, so I didn’t get to where I’m at, overnight it took a lot of practice & mostly patience.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a very bumpy road because I’m a single mom & there’s a lot of competition, but I feel pretty confident in my work & everything I’ve done is for my daughter. Some advice I can give to anyone that wants to join the industry is that if it’s your passion, do it.

I am a licensed cosmetologist so I do hair, makeup & nails, but mostly nails, like I said, I love everything that has to do with beauty & I love helping others feel beautiful.
Do you feel like there was something about the experiences you had growing up that played an outsized role in setting you up for success later in life?
I always used to cut my Barbie’s hair, so I knew I wanted to be into the beauty industry.
