Today we’d like to introduce you to Camila Anirod Sosa.
Camila Anirod, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My passion for makeup started probably around age 14, growing up in a Hispanic household this industry was not an option for me as a career. Once I started college and changed my major several times, my parents realized that makeup was what I was passionate about. In 2016, I started Beauty School where the year after I graduated as a Master -Makeup Artist.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road since in my family this industry was considered a hobby and not a real career, but once they knew what I was capable of doing and how passionate I am for this business, their minds changed.

I am known for doing makeup and hair for special occasions whether it is for weddings, Quinceañeras, baptisms, graduations, etc…
One thing that I am most proud about is that the people that I have worked for recommend me to others and that makes me feel like their experience with me was pleasant. One thing that sets me apart from other artists I believe is that I work on both sides of the border, whether it’s San Diego, Tijuana or Mexico.
What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
A piece of advice that I would give to a young woman starting her career is to keep working hard and prove the world what you are capable of.
