Meet Trailblazer Pam Ingold

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pam Ingold.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Pam. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Early in my career, I struggled with comparison, a sense of worth and finding my voice. This led to years of depression and a serious eating disorder. I knew I needed to find purpose and through my personal quest and observation during that time, I developed a counseling curriculum to help people learn the truth about what God says about them and rise from their fear and become all they were created to be. We launched as a ministry in our church in 2005 and currently have over 25 volunteer counselors helping individuals to heal their past and empower them to be all they are created to be. There is no cost, and we work closely and refer when professional counseling is needed.

Seeing the current trends and learning that loneliness is becoming a huge health crisis, I had a desire to bring women together on a larger scale, Last year, I, along with an amazing team of volunteers, hosted our first annual IF:Gathering, an international simulcast conference with some of today’s loudest female voice to empower women. It featured live music, shopping for a cause (human trafficking), free gifts, food and new friends! Our next IF:Gathering will be February 7 and 8, 2020.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all! Starting something from the ground up and getting others to buy into your vision takes a lot of perseverance and determination. I think the best advice I could give is to bring others around you that believe in what you’re trying to do and add them to your team!

We’d love to hear more about The Church at Rancho Bernardo.
I am on the pastoral team of a local community church, The Church at Rancho Bernardo. We believe that everyone is welcome, and we love to help lives be made whole, families made strong, and our community made new.

I’m most proud of the way we provide help in our community (1200 people showed up last year for our Serve Day at Kit Carson Park, helping the city clean up the park, packing homeless hygiene kits, painting, packing food kits, etc.) This year we’re doing all of that and painting The Escondido Boys and Girls Clubs.

We have ways people of all ages can get involved, and have a lot of activities for families to engage in throughout the week.

Which women have inspired you in your life?
Oprah Winfrey would’ve been the woman I would’ve chosen early on. She rose above her poverty and beyond the voices that could’ve defeated her. She not only has become “known” but empowers other women and helps women all over the world.

My mentor. She’s not “famous” but has raised four children, went through some really difficult times, and empowered 100’s of women to pursue what they were created for. She’s 81 now and still going strong!
