Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Neafus.
Tyler, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started when I first got into photography and had no clue where to start or how to learn about photography, so I decided to attend my first photo meet in LA, and it was a whole new world to be in. At my first photo meet, I had no clue what to do, so I began my journey to uncover more about what my passion is about and what called out to me
After my first meet in LA, I decided to attend more meets in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and surrounding areas of San Diego; and there is so much to do at a photo meet when it comes to networking, learning from others, making connections, and the best of all is doing what you love whether it’s your hobby, passion, or making a career out of it.
As soon as I got into more photo meets, it came to my mind that I would love to create a local San Diego meet and build a community of creators who love to do what they love. Over time, I made a lot of connections and made friends who are models and photographers.
Then I incorporated them into a group now known as 619Creators. The members are Tyler (IG: T_Machin3photography), Olivia (IG: Peachy_keeennn), Luis (IG: The_West_Coast_King), and our newest addition Paulina (IG: Xingonaporvida). Together, we hope to expand throughout San Diego and progress in our creative community.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Creating something great is never the smoothest of roads. We’re only a few months into our journey, and we have progressed significantly. We found that consistency is the key to our success as a group — that as well as building connections, networking, and inspiring others.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the 619Creators story. Tell us more about the business.
We take great pride, coming together as a family of creatives. We always offer a helping hand and open doors to new creatives such as ourselves. Unlike traditional meetup groups, we bring a range of talents to our meets. This ranges from photographers, models, MUAs, Stylists (Hair, Wardrobe, etc.), and as well as friends. Everyone is welcome!

When you show up at a meet, you never know what the turnout may be. Polls and questions can only give you so much of an estimate.
