Tyson, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Learning to paint came later. I spent my early 20’s traveling around the world and learning how my brain processes this life. I enjoyed exploring foreign countries all over the map and observing how other cultures see things. I learned the power of meditation and going within for answers. When I eventually started painting I found it to be a similar process. By focusing on every single brushstroke you quite the mind, yet be creating a painting you explore the unknown. I found art to be extremely powerful and fell in love with the process of creating!
Has it been a smooth road?
I have learned it is all about the journey. Success and failure are welcome here. My failures are opportunities to grow. It’s all about the process. I was selling paintings at my first art show for $40. Nevertheless, they sold and it felt like a success! Each year that passes the business grows and the paintings get better. Don’t get me wrong I feel self doubt at times, but I check those thoughts at the door and remember these paintings were only $40 not that long ago. Like I said it’s all about the journey, and I take pride in how far the art has evolved.
Tell us more about the business.
I get paid to paint, it’s a trip! I spend all my time in the studio creating because that is what makes me happy! I still find it hard to believe I am paid to do it. But, by all means, if you are reading this and your building needs a mural or home needs a canvas painting, I am open for business!
Pricing:
- Murals = $1,000-$20,000 depending on size & detail
- Canvas paintings = $500-$3,000 depending on size & detail.
- Prints = $30-$60
