Meet Valeria Amor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valeria Amor.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Valeria. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My Name is Valeria Amor I am currently 19 years old living in San Diego. My family is from Mexicali Baja California. And Durango Mexico. My story in modeling it stared when, I was bullied in middle school and to get my self-esteem back together I started modeling at the age of thirteen years old. I did my first runway on my fourteen Birthday. I did Cover Girl Magazine Pagents twice the second was a win-win Miss Simpathic 2014. When I was fifth teen years old I was called to be a model at Lilis Creations Quinceñera Boutique in Chula Vista.

I also am modeling exclusive swimwear for the past seven years called Cebugirl Swimwear, from the Philippines I am honored to be part of that I’ve all ways been in freelance independent model. My biggest goal today have been walking in my first ever Fashion Week San Diego RunWay . As well being represented as Princess of the Hispanics 2019-2020 for Organization Herencia Hispana California. I am planning to get Queen title for 2020-2021.

One my outside hobbies are playing Violin and Singing in my group at my college Mariachi Garibaldi, I started playing violin since I was four years old and I love music it comes threw my family my grandfather Guillermo Hernandez Garcia was a Guitar Player/songwriter that composted about more than 1,000 songs. One day I would like to record one of his songs he left me. I want to thank my mother, Yazmin Cazares, she’s one of my biggest inspiration and the reason I am where I am now thanks to her I’ve become one of the best models in San Diego!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth the struggles I’ve had are, bullied threw out the industry of modeling and being in pageants and at school. Another struggle is negative people telling me “modeling is not a career”. Now that I’m older I model bikini shoots and one of the most comments is “why are you taking photos like that “. It’s not easy being a model there will be people who support you and people who don’t. I don’t let them get to me I know what I’m worth and I’m capable of making modeling my part time job.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am Starting to give classes to young ladies 14-17 years old to learn the basic techniques of modeling, and how to walk in heels, basic protocols on how to eat at the dinner table, how to pose on camera and more! What sets me apart from others is if I teach these young girls how to do basic modeling techniques I will encourage them to do modeling And help them start doing runway shows.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment in being Miss Princess of the Hispanics 2019-2020.It is so grateful to help my community in so many ways and the people who know me know that I love giving to my community and I do action to make these communities better. Some examples I’ve done are
