Meet Wendy Ramos of Sculpture Bodyworks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Ramos.

Wendy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At first, all I was trying to do was figure out how to better my own health. Being prescribed one prescription after another, it dawned on me I had to take matters into my own hands to find my solution. The help I was getting only masked my problems with prescriptions versus getting to the root of my issue. In the curiosity and desperation of finding out how to heal my health naturally, I took on the path of becoming a Holistic Health Practitioner and Certified Massage Therapist. Now I get to help others feel at ease enjoying a massage while learning more about how to improve their ailments.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My roads to getting to this destination have been very bumpy, literally. Having to juggle work as full-time personal banker, full-time college student, and now a hobby turned to mini mobile massage business, there have been a lot of detours and many external setbacks that made it seem like my goal was simply beyond my reach. Regardless despite the many potholes on my road I have to swerve to reach a client, it’s all worth it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sculpture Bodyworks?
Sculpture Bodyworks brings the relaxation of a spa to the comfort of your own home. The goal is to allow my clients to relax their mind, rebalance through meditation or detox and tonify the body with ancient techniques. Whatever the modality is, self-care is the pedestal that will sustain our mind, body, and soul’s resilience. What better way to have a moment of care without the need to drive around.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is being outside in my backyard chasing butterflies and soaking the sun relaxing in the inflatable pool. It makes me happy to think of those times when I get to enjoy in my own self-care routines now adulting in life. Getting back in tune with nature definitely amplifies my passion for what I do. To enjoy the beauty of one’s nature, we need to tend to our roots.
