Meet Danielle Sbrega

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Sbrega.

Danielle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
A friend coined the name for me, the Hippie with a Briefcase some years back. Growing up with ‘weekend hippie’ parents in Northern California I learned at a young age how to listen and care for our environment. I also learned that I loved me some business of all walks and there was a place for both in our lives. I made sugar scrubs and lip balms in junior high with essential oils. I had no clue how progressive or blessed I was to live in an area of natural holistic remedies.

I had always played office and started entrepreneurial projects as a kid. My parents knew I was on to something when instead of a lemonade stand I created a mobile concept on our red wagon where I could roll door-to-door. I was sure to get more action doing it this way, right? This, I accredited to our coffee cart business that my husband and I ran successfully for seven years in the courtyard of the Encinitas Library. My internal passion for helping people and being in the business hustle manifested in many ways over the years. I ended up getting a business degree from PSU (Portland State University) after some soul searching stints in Tahoe and Eugene, Oregon. After I earned my piece of paper naturally I was going to take over the world (LMAO) and it was not quite that simple. I got lost in trying to prove my worth in high powered environments and the corporate world. After washing my soul through the corporate washing machine, achieving my Series 7, real estate license, insurance, and yaddy yadda I was done. I realized I was only trying to prove to myself I was worth it and yearned to help people in more natural capacity for me.

During my late 20’s and early 30’s, I dug deep inside my healing journey, healing from past traumas. I had always known essential oils made me feel safe and my brain at peace. After two horrible events I experienced as an adult, it awoke my old trauma and I was left with two options. Either fall further down the fear and dysfunction rabbit hole or rise up and empower me to live a happy life. I chose the second and with that found Young Living therapeutic grade essential oils. The fragrance of essential oils can directly affect everything from your emotional state to your lifespan! Sex hormones, energy levels, joy, fear, stress, memory, blood pressure, appetite control, heart, and immune function.

I smelled my first Young Living oil over five years ago and the rest was history. I eventually sold my business to focus on helping others achieve the emotional freedom I was able to empower myself with.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a fun and challenging road to build a business as a #momprenuer, a stay at home working mom. I always tell people you wake up everyday unemployed but with that comes a powerful feeling of creating your destiny. In a world where everyone is battling to stay afloat, I decided to flip my script and my mindset. Our tribe believes that there is enough to go around, we work hard on our abundant mindset. The market is flooded with essential oil ‘people’ and everyone from Costco to Walmart sells them. I have visited the farms, talked to the people who distill them and I know we have a superior product. I have seen with my own eyes children struggling less and people becoming the gatekeeper of their home and health. Our team often refers to this business as ‘personal development’ with a paycheck. I spent the first two years getting my mind healthy, my hormones straightened out and building my foundation. I am a recovering workaholic so my mind is my worst critic and block. I turned my past shitty experiences into my gifts today. I laugh at myself when I become a victim (for 1 minute) or have a mini pity party because I know that I need to shift out and refocus.

Please tell us about you work.
I am blessed to be able to provide tools to become more self-aware and empowering them to re-shape their future. As an essential oil educator, I have been able to educate so many people on alternative all-natural ways to bring your life into balance. People can buy products anywhere, but they do not get me with them. I am different because I focus on your health from the inside out. We host online and in person circles that will leave you feeling connected and worthy.

My job is to help you carve out the authentic you, help you create life balance and take on the world. YOU WERE MADE FOR GREATNESS! I serve people who are yearning for more and that are wanting to raise their wellness in emotional, physical and spiritual areas of life. I gravitate towards people who have a zest for life. Let’s get real, life gets messy and I want to help you with anything that is blocking your mojo.

This can look different for everyone, some people are yearning for emotional balance, some need physical support and most do not realize it all connected.

I help empower people to become the gatekeeper of their home and health.  My services include walking you through a health assessment to determine where you need to bring your life back in balance. I help you take inventory of your emotional, physical and spiritual health by:
– replacing household toxins with natural plant base cleaners
– replacing harmful personal body care products (your skin is your largest organ)
– replacing toxic thoughts with abundance, gratitude and positive ones
– offering you safe tools to deal with our stressful situations
– free on-line and in person education

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I have a lot of amazing memories as a child foraging the creek in front of our home. Packing a bag and heading out into nature to feel grounded and exploring life.
