Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelisha Joseph.
Hi Angelisha , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started in 2014 when I came to San Diego, California, as a Navy recruit. I spent time on a ship and realized my dream was to be a singer. I spent 10 years in the Navy and recently got out to pursue a full-time career as a singer. Music has had its shares of ups and downs, but I can’t see myself doing anything else
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has been smooth. I’d say for the most part making music feels good and it’s exciting. It’s more like a stress, relief or a storytelling experience for me.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an R&B singer; I sing about how sometimes life gets the best of me, the acceptance and the progression of change, and how specific individuals irritate me. I’m proud that I make relatable music and honest music. I specialize making great music! I’m most for the music I’ve been working on. i haven’t put out a whole body of work since 2018, so it’s been a long time coming, and I’m excited about it. I wrote all this music with intention.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being honest with myself.
Putting myself out there.
