Rising Stars: Meet Annie Veron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Annie Veron.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My experience stems from an early devotion to all things art and design. I was creatively driven early on — I would find myself rearranging my bedroom every other week and had at least two outfit changes a day as a child. I currently work for an interior design firm as a creative director, where I get to express my creativity on a daily basis. In my spare time, I find myself painting with acrylics or dabbling with watercolor paints. The idea for La Lune Creative came about as I started to receive invites to friends and family weddings and baby showers. I envisioned how sweet an invitation would be with custom watercolor specific to their big day. I then started hosting dinner parties, custom watercoloring invitations, and dinner menus, and the business grew from there.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
As a creative, I feel there is always something to tweak in my designs. My main struggle is not being able to call the design “done.” Even if everything is accurately and beautifully arranged, I can still find something that needs a touch-up — but then again, I think a little wabi-wabi is charming!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
La Lune Creative is an art, design, and print branding company that specializes in custom watercolor prints for events and businesses. All designs are hand drawn, watercolored, and designed with careful attention to my client’s desires. My clients fill me on their color palette and theme for their big day or business, and I take their inspiration and design a coordinating print. I do fully customized designs, no two designs are alike, and I fully embody the event or business I’m designing for.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My friends and family are my biggest advocates! They have not only spread the word of my new business but have allowed me to play an integral part in their big days, allowing me to design prints for their weddings and showers.
