Today we’d like to introduce you to Britten Wrong
Hi BRITTEN , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Started making music with my friends in highschool and just became obsessed with the whole process. I fell in the love with creating something from scratch and handling everything that comes with it. Shooting and editing videos, cover art, digging for samples and finding inspiration for new sounds all gave me a sense of purpose. Creating is what I think about everyday.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course it’s never smooth sailing. I’ve done some interesting gigs to say the least and had run-ins with bad people but everything is a lesson. I feel like i’ve learned that something will always go wrong, so you have be adaptable and roll with the punches. I’m an independent artist, and as such it’s always about figuring things out and keeping it going.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a musician and co-founder of LETEMDIE RECORDS. I started this label along with my best friend and fellow musician WILLWAS and my little sister ATHENA WRONG. Our motto is “growth from death” and we are trying to be our best, most creative selves without fear and ego. We are all solo artists but we frequently collab and make music together, and we are literally family which I think sets us apart from other music collectives. If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was into playing sports. I thought I was going pro haha. But I was a pretty chill kid that liked to make people laugh. I was always interested in creating things and I remember I used to also want to write children’s novels to flex my creative juices and make stories like the ones I grew up on. I met some friends that were already doing the music thing and I took a leap of faith and starting rapping with them and then that became my true passion.
