Rising Stars: Meet Bruna Vianna

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bruna Vianna.

Hi Bruna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My business idea came to me in the middle of the pandemic, when the restaurant I used to work for had to close temporarily because of COVID. I was working in the restaurant industry for almost four years since I moved to the USA. I was born and raised in Brazil, and I decided to move to a foreign country to study and live a new experience. I have a bachelor’s in Marketing, but gastronomy has always been my passion. I started the Grazing Box LLC because I identified a crescent movent of consuming charcuterie and the need for someone here in San Diego to make them and sell an affordable price. I used all my past experiences to create Grazing Box. More than that, I wanted to bring people together where they could enjoy my cheese and charcuterie boxes and boards with a glass of wine and create memories with their families/friends. Also, who doesn’t love cheese, right?

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When you are a small business owner, you do everything by yourself in the beginning and it can be overwhelming and frustrating sometimes. But since I started, I have been getting a lot of support and positive feedback from my customers and other local business owners, which makes me very happy and keep moving.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The Grazing Box is inspired by different experiences I had in my life, personal or professional. I combined everything I’ve learned and applied at Grazing Box, from digital marketing, designer, culinary.. everything to make a unique product with quality ingredients and fun to enjoy with friends and family. The unknown flavors combined together and paired with wine, beer or your favorite drink.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Before I launch Grazing Box, I wanted to wait until I had everything perfect, but that’s a big mistake. You need to put your product on the market and with time, readjust and improve it. Only with feedbacks, you will be able to make your product better and achieve what you were looking for.
