Today we’d like to introduce you to DAngelo Caywood.

DAngelo Caywood

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up during the blog era i’ve always been a music enthusiast. From 2000’s R&B and HipHop, all the way to pop, alternative & rock, great artist have always been in rotation on my playlists. It wasn’t until I started exploring my love for music while attending Sweetwater Highschool. My sophomore year is actually when I found out anyone could book a recording studio, my only thought was “this is how they make records?!” I ended up building my own home studio with the most basic equipment at that time & the rest is history. Fast forward 9+ years and I’m still into music as much as I was when I first started. From concerts, festivals and studio work I’m always thinking about my next move. Maybe it will be merchandise, but for now the only thing I can think of is creating more music. Until the day I can live freely off my music and tour the world, I will never take my foot off the gas. I feel my journey isn’t even halfway over, there’s much more levels that I want to take it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So many people will try to bring you down, undermine you, take advantage of you and just generally not like you for no reason at all. None of it matters. Plenty of challenges come with anything you do in life. It’s all about finding your peace throughout those struggles and just keep having fun.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Well I specialize in vocal engineering and mixing/mastering. Most of my supporters who have been around from the beginning know that, but my love has always been being the recording artist & song writer. Creating dope songs people feel and energy they can relate to. Majority of new artists are focused on their breakthrough or being ‘perfect’ while I enjoyed standing out & carving my own lane. If we’re being honest it’s something the industry is lacking. Authenticity.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Music music music. Listening to it. Creating it. Discovering new artists or new ways to produce. You can never stop learning about yourself in this “musical dimension” is what I’ll call it. Sometimes taking time out of your day for music; will help you heal whatever life is throwing your way.
