Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Blasón.
Hi Daniela, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Photography has been my lifelong passion. However, I started my career in Argentina in the Marketing and communications industry. I hold a BA in Marketing. When I moved with my family to the USA in 2014. It was the first time I was able to purchase a good camera. In Argentina, I would have never been able to afford one. When I saw through the lens for the first time, I was ecstatic! Needless to say, it was then that I decided to refocus on what my future would hold and what I would enjoy. I arrived to the USA with two babies, and English was not my forte, but even so, it was then that I realized that it was time to take my passion for photography to the next level and make it my profession. I am a self-taught photographer who continues to fine-tune her photography and English language skills. I started my studio with family and friends and now have expanded into the community. During Covid-19 as we were all bounded at home, I had the opportunity to focus on learning and strengthening my skill for the trade. Photography has given me the pleasure of providing my clients with memorable moments. I believe that photos tell a story and bring great memories for limitless time.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My biggest hurdle has been to master the English language. It is a work in progress.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
For the last few years, I have had a variety of clients ranging from newborn babies to adults. Every stage in a person’s life is important and fun. I personally enjoy taking headshots and the creation of an enjoyable canvas/atmosphere for the photos. My current project focuses on photoshoots for mothers. From a personal experience, becoming a mother has been a blessing. However, as a mother at times I lost myself, I believe this happens to many of us. My goal with this new project is to provide an opportunity for mothers to see themselves outside of motherhood and remind themselves that they are more than just “Mom”.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Number 1 to become fluent in English. Outside of that, I believe that the second most important quality or characteristic for my success is to be able to connect to people and capture moments that bring joy to my clients.
