Today we’d like to introduce you to Demetrio Brown
Hi Demetrio, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my Instagram page in 2020. I’ve always been into clothes/sneakers and dressing nice, so I started my page as a way to showcase my outfits. Since then, I’ve been featured on Nike’s “SNKRS App” twice, and on Jordan Brands Instagram page once. For me, displaying my outfits has been more about artistic expression, than it’s about showing off. The ability to express myself in this way has helped me feel like the best version of myself.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Things are never as smooth as you want them to be. It took me a while to find what’s works for me as far as working a full time job, and finding time/energy to be creative. Like anything in life, it’s about finding balance.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I work mainly on Instagram doing photography and outfit/sneaker content. I’ve been fortunate enough to do a few paid partnerships and I’ve also had other gifted opportunities.
I’m most proud of just putting myself out there. I can sometimes get in my own way, and often times I end up talking myself out of things. I’m proud that I had the idea, I followed through, and stuck with it. They say the hardest part is starting.
