Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Sanchez.
Hi Emily, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
This all started as a hobby and led to content creation where I started sharing the things I loved like home decor, plants, and my culture. That eventually turned into Classy Casita, an online lifestyle brand that now sells everything from plant care tools to home goods. I never really saw entrepreneurship as an option growing up because I didn’t have examples of people starting businesses around me, but I did have my mom’s work ethic, and that shaped everything for me.
From there, I launched Happy Girl Club, a women’s social meetup group that’s now grown into a real community. We host monthly meetups and events, connecting women in their cities, and we just keep growing.
I’ve just followed the things that make the most sense for me and make me the happiest. Creating spaces, products, and content that represent who I am and what I love. And somehow, that turned into a whole career.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There’s been a lot of figuring things out as I go, especially when you don’t have people around you doing the same thing. It can sometimes feel a bit isolating which has led to burnout, imposter syndrome, and just trying to juggle everything at once. But every experience has taught me something and helped me grow.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder of Happy Girl Club, a women’s social group all about real-life connection. We host monthly meetups and events that help women make friends, feel supported, and just have fun. It started as something small and local, and now we’re growing into different cities, which is so special to see.
What makes Happy Girl Club different is that it’s not just about events, it’s about creating a community where women feel seen, safe, and creative. I’m really proud of how organic the growth has been and how many genuine friendships have come out of it!
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending summer days with my siblings playing outside, running through the sprinklers, having water balloon fights, and eating ice cream. It’s all about the little things!
