Rising Stars: Meet Felicia Shelby

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Shelby.

Felicia Shelby

Hi Felicia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Certainly! My name is Felicia Shelby, and I’ve spent the last 14 years married to James Shelby, a realtor who’s also been featured in this very magazine. Together, we’ve raised two wonderful daughters right here in Temecula, a place I’ve called home since I was just 10 years old. From a young age, I’ve felt a deep connection to this community, and that connection has only grown stronger over the years. I’ve made it my mission to build relationships, connect with local business owners, and offer my expertise in bringing people together. My journey took an exciting turn when I dove into the world of social media, staying on top of the latest trends and using that knowledge to help businesses thrive online. In 2021, I joined forces with my sister-in-law, Karli, to launch The Social Agenda, a social media marketing agency dedicated to elevating businesses’ online presence. At The Social Agenda, we do it all – from social media takeovers to branding shoots and influencer marketing. But it’s not just about business for me. I’m passionate about supporting women in our community, and I’ve started women’s groups aimed at helping one another succeed through the power of social media. On top of that, I’ve partnered with a high-end beauty brand called Monat, where I get to help women feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. For me, it’s not just about building businesses; it’s about building up the incredible community that I’m lucky enough to call home.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overall, the journey has been relatively smooth, especially considering the challenges we faced coming out of a global pandemic. In fact, the pandemic highlighted the immense power of social media like never before, which actually worked in our favor. However, like any entrepreneurial endeavor, there were still hurdles to overcome along the way. Building a business from the ground up required dedication, hard work, and perseverance. We had to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of social media trends and algorithms, adapt to the needs of our clients, and establish ourselves in a competitive market. But through determination and strategic planning, we were able to overcome these challenges and emerge stronger than ever.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At The Social Agenda, we specialize in more than just social media marketing; we’re deeply ingrained in our community, which allows us to bring unparalleled awareness to local brands and businesses. Our approach isn’t just about posting content online; it’s about fostering genuine connections and relationships that extend beyond the digital realm. What sets us apart is our commitment to quality and style. We take great pride in the aesthetics and effectiveness of our work, ensuring that each client receives a personalized and high-quality service that aligns with their brand identity. Whether it’s crafting engaging social media content, organizing impactful influencer marketing campaigns, or curating visually stunning branding shoots, our attention to detail and dedication to excellence shines through in everything we do. What I’m most proud of is our ability to make a meaningful impact in both the online and offline worlds. Seeing our clients’ businesses flourish and knowing that we played a part in their success brings me immense joy and fulfillment. It’s not just about the numbers for us; it’s about making a tangible difference in the lives of our clients and our community as a whole.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I feel I am a pretty open book. But if I had to pick one thing it would be that I am a huge people pleaser. Might not be so surprising. But I love to help out wherever I can. Which is a huge reason I partnered with Monat.

The effects it had on my family, I wanted to share that.

I also am a very outgoing person, but I would much rather be home spending time with my family.
