Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerome Moylan.
Hi Jerome, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Grew up in Chicago with 12 brothers and sisters and abusive parental control. So, I was always in trouble in school and police.
Later on, I was in a car accident and my head went thru the windshield and required 400 stitches in my face.
That was an awakening and it changed my life.
I started working in the Health and fitness world and got my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.
I have worked with professional athletes and people ever since treating sports injuries and with Functional Medicine nutrition protocols.
I have, also competed in sports for over 60 years and am in the AAU Strength Sports Hall of Fame and the National Fitness Hall of Fame .
San Diego Supervisor Joel Anderson proclaimed April 6, 2025 to be Dr. Jerry Moylan Day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Family of 15 including an alcoholic and abusive father.
Attended many high schools leaving for disciplinary reasons.
Many encounters with police.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m at Doctor of Chiropractic specializing in sports medicine and Functional Medicine.
I’m known for getting things done.
Most proud of is my son and helping others.
I am in 2 Hall of Fames. Have worked on professional athletes and am a competitive athlete.
I have over 45 years experience.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Keeping your inner peace while reaching for the stars.
