Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Bolaños
Hi Laura, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I arrived in the United States at the end of March 2024 with an exchange program that would change my life significantly. My name is Laura Bolaños and I am from the south of Colombia. I am a young artist full of dreams in music. I migrated from my country to open my horizons and seek inspiration for my songs. I currently have two songs on music platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music (I will soon have the release of a new single) and I also have covers on my YouTube channel and social networks. Even though I have sung all my life, I am just starting out in the music industry and I know that the road is difficult but my desire to get ahead and sing to the whole world will not let me give up on this great adventure.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It is not and has not been an easy road. To begin with, migrating full of dreams, leaving behind my family and my country, I would say that it is the most difficult thing, in addition to the fact that there is a lot of talent and competition in music. There are incredible artists everywhere and that makes it even more difficult, however I think it is not impossible because each one has their essence and somehow connecting with the public, I think that is very personal for each artist.

I feel very proud of my ability to take on every challenge that comes my way. I consider myself a sensitive woman but also very brave and that is what distinguishes me from others, that is why in my music I seek to capture all my sweetness but also the strength and sensuality that all Colombian women have.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
As I said before, I’m starting out in the music industry as such, so I’m creating content on my social media. I do live shows on TikTok and Instagram and I also post videos of my daily life. In addition to singing, I also want to show my more human side to better connect with the people who listen to me. So I invite everyone to follow me on my social media.
