Hi Matt, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
With 19 years in the insurance industry, Matt Clark’s expertise shines through his dynamic journey – from owning his own agencies to joining C3. Matt focuses on helping people with their personal assets in the high net worth space.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest obstacles I’ve faced in recent years is remembering that what feels normal to me, reviewing and analyzing insurance pricing every day, is not normal for most clients. It is easy to forget that the language and structure of our industry can sometimes be confusing or intimidating.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an insurance broker, partner and divisional leader in personal lines for C3 Insurance. My work is a place I can have empathy and understanding with every conversation I have with a client or prospect. My goal each day is to help people truly understand why insurance coverage matters, not just what it costs. Insurance is a complex concept, especially because you hope you’ll never have to use it.
The true reward in insurance comes when a claim happens and we’re able to help a customer recover, ensuring they are made whole again. There is something even more powerful, though, in knowing that before any loss occurs, we have done our job well, helping clients choose the right coverage, anticipating potential risks, and guiding them through complex policies. It’s the reassurance that, no matter what happens, they will be protected, their financial security preserved, and their peace of mind intact. That proactive work, thinking ahead, preventing gaps, and providing clarity is what truly defines success in our role.
What makes you happy?
My happiness comes from my faith in Jesus, my family, and my purpose. Being a husband and father brings me deep joy, and my relationship with Christ keeps me grounded and grateful. Professionally, I find fulfillment in helping clients protect what matters most to them and serving others with integrity and compassion
