Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Bricke.
Hi Mike, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
We started in 2015 to provide Vista and North County San Diego with a real deal authentic skater-owned shop that held on to the history of skateboarding in Vista as well as shed light on some of the new upcoming talent that’s in the area. Shout out to our crew and everyone that has come and supported the shop!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We’ve been here almost 9 years, and during that time, we’ve had a global epidemic, a complete redevelopment of our front street, break-in attempts, amazing collaborations with our favorite brands such as Baker, Zero, Toy Machine, and more, awesome video premieres, insane events, seen some friends turn pro in our back parking lot and many more go on to start their careers in skateboarding or whatever path they chose to take. I wouldn’t change a thing!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m just really stoked we can provide a platform for all the local up-and-coming skaters. Whether it’s doing a video premiere, art show, carry a small brands product, or getting some of the rippers in touch with people that can help take them further. I think all skater-owned shops bring something special like that to the table.
What are your plans for the future?
Plan is to basically stay on the route we are on but to kind of just keep that growing. Doing stuff with local skaters like events or skate jams and video premieres and also bring in some new brands, maybe extend the shoe wall? NikeSB, what up holler at ur boy!
