Hi Richard, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I’m a clothing designer mainly focused on Resort Wear simply because of my background where I grew up in the Caribbean/Belize Central America. At a young age, I knew that I wanted to be in a creative field. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design. I started working in the fashion industry for some of America’s well-known clothing companies.
This led me to start doing my own brand. Winning San Diego Fashion Week was one of my greatest accomplishments and a positive start to introducing my brand. It’s not an easy career to be in especially in the times of COVID-19. But because of my passion, determination, support from my fans, family and my business partner. I will continue doing this while adapting to the trends and changes in our lives.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Being creative comes natural to me. As I’m always inspired by my surroundings. But with COVID. Less huge and live gatherings for the past two summers. Have been a bit of a struggle. The world is still not 100% completely back on vacation/travel mode as yet.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
RHCREATION is a Resort Wear brand. That specialized in wearable Resort Wear cover ups. Known for our trademark kimono hoodie styles. With vibrant colors and original prints, that’s inspired by the Caribbean. Winning San Diego Fashion Week has been a major highlight and a very proud moment for RHCREATION. Which gave us the opportunity to sell our collection at Harrah’s Rincon Casino and Resort gift shop. Our brand is different from others or most resort wear. Because of our wearable styles and trendy silhouettes.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is giving your customers what they want. While being financially stable, health and happy doing it.
