Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Delaurentis.
Hi Robert, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started as an officer in the Navy using a first time homebuyer loan to buy my first property. When I got out of the Navy, I would go back in for six months orders using credit cards for down payments. By the time the credit cards were due, I had renovated the property and rented them out for much more. Eventually, I used investors for down payments and started buying two properties at a time. My age 37 I had retired. I went back to work again until age 43 and retired one final time. After that, I started a foundation and started giving back in the world.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There were many challenging times which included bogus lawsuits from tenants, evictions, lack of down payments. I used to say I like top Ramen just not every day..
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Most proud of being able to use spirituality in business. It gave me an advantage of all those that I graduated business school with. Why wouldn’t you use concepts like this to give you an edge? I wrote a book on this called flyingthrulife which describes 18 of the principles that I used to triple the size of my business.
Any big plans?
I will continue to develop the airport that I bought three years ago and turned into an international airport. We have been selected as one of the foremost, innovative in the state of Washington. We also have been selected as the first Urban Air Mobility hub for the state.
