Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherie Honarvar.
Hi Sherie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My father was born in Rasht, Iran, my mother in Portland, Oregon. I was raised by a beautiful family who loves me deeply. My path unfolded and led me down a path of addiction, which I have since overcome with the help of my family, friends, and a power greater than me… The Universe, Moon, Sun, Ocean, My Ancestors and The Divine. My path to healing started at a very young age. Many healers and protectors have been placed in my life, all of which I am eternally grateful. Having been a musician for almost 3 decades, my path has unfolded to lead me to heal you and our community with sound and my intuitive energy healing practice. My father chose his exit from this Earth by suicide in 2019. Which changed me forever. I have taken the love of my children, ancestors, my father, family, friends, and pain to propel me into healing myself. With the force of the elements, the roar of a lion, and a passion to heal myself and assist you on your journey, I bring you… Azadi Healing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Are roads ever smooth?! My biggest struggles have been the battle within myself. Some of my greatest challenges in life have been finding my own voice, following my own path, and figuring out who I truly am. I stepped into a life of addiction at a very young age. During the years of early development, the most important years, my path was one of destruction and addiction. The story ends well though; I found recovery, self-love, and a meditation practice that led me here to this moment! I now know how to come home to myself, be it in a moment, during grief, during changes!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Healing Guide! Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Sound Healer & Meditation Guide. I’m here to assist anyone on their healing journey who is ready. I do custom private sessions for my clients and also for groups, business offices, rehabilitation centers, communities, retreats, and more! I am here to empower those who are ready to be empowered by showing them their own worth and strength and teaching them how to come home to themselves. I’m known for being a safe person for people to heal with. I’m most proud of my children. I have healed so much by mothering them the best I can. I’m also proud of the steadfast courage I have in the face of some life-changing tragedies. I think what sets me apart is that I go where my path leads me, even if it takes me places no one else would go; I’m not afraid.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Courage, fierceness, love, being present… to myself and others.
