Today we’d like to introduce you to Stevie Delacruz.
Hi Stevie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Stevie Delacruz, and I’ve created a production and entertainment brand called “Blu Side Studios” in 2020. The purpose of creating this brand falls deeper than surface value and that purpose is to promote mental health awareness. Our brand revolves around healing those that have been broken down the most, those battling their anxiety/depression, those that have become so alone in this world. Our brand is a safe haven for others to reside in. Our goal is to help others find optimism in the most pessimistic times of life, and that is subtly implemented in our creative work, such as music production, films, photography, events, modeling, and clothing. Our logo is the blue lips, and that was created as a reminder that we are the voice that’ll be used to guide others out of their darkest walks of life. A voice that can comfort in the worst predicaments life will throw. We believe everyone should work towards building themselves to be the best possible version of themselves and that is why we work with experienced and aspiring creators to develop their talents and place them on a path of positivity and growth. We offer music education, audio engineering, artist development and management, photography/videography, custom clothing, a modeling agency, and opportunities for film association. We also have a YouTube channel where we will soon be delivering content of entertainment through travel and motivation, and we also have a segment where we promote local artists onto our live studio sessions where they have the chance to perform their music. We are actively recruiting members that are willing to invest time and energy into building with us and fulfilling our purpose to society and we will always have open arms for those interested in joining our growing family of creators. This is only the beginning, and we hope you find interest in staying for the long run.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey has been very tough for us because of the amount of work that we’re aware must be done in order to fulfill our purpose. Some of those challenges include sleepless nights just to advance our business models and grow our company, finding motivation for those ready to give up on life, and finding individuals that can handle this active lifestyle we’ve created. I wouldn’t trade this life for the world though, and I’ll take all the pain and even more just to see our brand progress to those that can benefit from this. I’m currently 23, and I’ve had this concept building since I was 15 with very few people that believed in my ideas and no one by my side. We’ve marked our official presence in 2020, and now we operate under an LLC and have over 20 members.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I believe in the art of being the jack of all trades. In terms of music, I am an audio engineer, music producer, musician, and singer. I have started at the age of 15 and now take pride in being able to assist others with this dream as well. I’ve created my music to be a series of lessons that others can learn from. I use my platform to embed enigmatic messages that provoke thought and life-changing practices. I am continuously created one big timeline of my music where others have the opportunity to be submerged and taken through a new world that offers growth. Each album I create is a different genre, and I’ve done this to appeal to different demographics so everyone can feel included in this experience that I am creating. This storyline aims to reach out to those needing to hear these messages through a creative form, and I will always work my hardest to achieve that exact mission.
How do you define success?
My idea of success is being in a position that allows you to fulfill a purpose. Being able to continuously grow while tolerating the hardships that come with it. In my eyes, success is not achieved at a specific point because then that would allow one to be inclined with becoming complacent. Success is a process that is constantly moving and building you to be stronger knowing for a fact that there is still more to be done. I would consider myself to be successful, but if I were to stop where I am at then I would not consider myself to be successful. I understand we all have our own interpretations of success, but mine is being in a state of growth that ultimately makes you happy.
