Hi Shaun , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me starts around 7am with family/breakfast/prep for day/email. I drop my kids off at school and head to the office between 8-9 which is a short commute. Once I get to the office I tend to start by reviewing our main activities dashboard, reports and respond to the most important emails or situations. Before lunch my day is filled with internal meetings with our executive team, enterprise customers, strategic partners, investors and board members. Lunch is usually a short working lunch. I usually block off a few hours in the afternoon for focused, deep work, strategy and planning. By the late afternoon between 3:30-5:30pm my day will likely include more meetings with department heads, responding to emails, touching base with direct reports for status updates, coaching, problem solving. My office hours usually end between 5:30-6, Then I’ll head home for some family time/dinner. Once the family goes to bed around 9, I will focus on exercise, hobbies, reading and following up with any emails/issues. I try go to sleep by midnight.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

My parents surely did. They both saw a lot of potential in me and encouraged me to focus on education and to start GoShare. My mom especially who was our first investor and one of our first employees. Our first outside investor, Claudio Burtin, also took a leap of faith and saw my potential very early.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Many entrepreneurs will agree that there will be many times in life and in business when you almost give up. The most successful entrepreneurs are the ones that are persistent and find a way each time to keep going when the going gets tough. I am no different. I almost gave up after our first ever project which went terribly wrong but I’m very happy that I stayed the course. Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Many smart people who didn’t study history and political science think that democracy is free and guaranteed. That is not the case. Millions of people fought and died to create the free democratic societies we enjoy today. Democracy is neither free nor guaranteed and I think many smart people take it for granted.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
