Story & Lesson Highlights with Agustina Reca

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Agustina Reca . Check out our conversation below.

Agustina, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity. When we’re aligned with our values, everything else flows. Our energy is at its best, and intelligence becomes something we use wisely. Being true to ourselves allows us to be smart in our actions, our words, and even our silences.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a Sports Medicine Physician and Pediatrician, double board-certified and passionate about bridging the gap between movement and medicine.

I trained in the U.S. — first doing research in California, then pediatric residency in Miami, and a sports medicine fellowship in Houston — before recently coming back home to Buenos Aires. My goal now is to contribute locally while continuing international collaborations.

I’m also a sub-3 marathon runner, which I think makes my story a little different — I live what I teach. I know firsthand how movement shapes not only physical health but also mental wellbeing and community.

Through Movement Medic, the platform I founded and small project I started, I share science-based tools and education to make health more accessible, human, and sustainable — helping people of all ages move, feel, and live better. Movement goes beyond physical health — it’s about mental wellbeing, confidence, and connection.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Communication has the power to do both. Miscommunication—when the message isn’t clear or is misunderstood—can cause real harm. But when we choose clarity, honesty, simplicity, and truth, and when we listen or speak calmly, we create understanding. That kind of communication not only restores connection but also helps us release what we carry inside—guilt, anger, frustration.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Perspective. It taught me to see abundance instead of emptiness, opportunities instead of threats, and learning instead of failure.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to expanding the power of movement—of both body and mind. Movement as a tool for mental and physical health, for connection, and for access. I’m passionate about bringing it to people from all backgrounds—those in underserved communities, in rehab centers, in jails, in mental health facilities. Everyone deserves access to the healing and empowering force of movement.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
In the early mornings—when I’m journaling, visualizing, or running. There’s a stillness at the start of the day that brings both calm and momentum. It grounds me and gets me excited for what’s ahead.
