Brent Fouch shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Brent, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Surfing. I grew up competing in surf contests all the way through my college years. I hit a burn out period in my 30’s and decided to experience new things. I took up professional off-road racing, which I competed for approximately ten years.
When I came back to surfing, I approached it in a more soulful manner. Just being in the ocean and sharing waves with friends brought back the love of surfing I once had. Now I surf different size boards, try new locations and spend quality time in the water with friends, which has made all the difference.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I am Brent Fouch. An entrepreneur, athlete, and explorer of higher states of consciousness. After graduating UCSD with a Psychology Degree, I became a stockbroker for the first five years of my career. I eventually started my own business and took it public on the stock market. My business was the development of Thought-Controlled Technologies. Using a mobile EEG headset, we created software to run the computer simply through the power of their mind.We created applications to control the mouse and open web browsers, as well as operate any PC computer game using only the power of your mind.
After selling my business, I now focus my time on real estate development, trading with A.I software and spending time with my children.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
In 2016 I went to Costa Rica for a week long Ayahuasca Retreat. This was the most profound experience I have ever had and it completely changed how I see the world today.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering is inevitable in the physical reality we live. However, once you realize that the real You is the observer of these thoughts and feelings, you can step outside the pain and experience life as it unfolds without attaching to this suffering. You can allow yourself to observe life’s events without the emotional identification to the event and remain in a state of positivity or at the very least- neutral.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
People. Those that really know me are aware that I value family and friendship over money and anything else in this world.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I understand, through my training and experiences that we are more than our physical bodies. We are multidimensional beings with consciousness that exists outside of our brains. With proper training, one can learn to separate their energetic/ astral body from their physical body and experience this directly.
