We recently had the chance to connect with Claudia Davis and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Claudia, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first part of my morning is about turning inward before the world comes rushing in. I begin with quiet reflection—either journaling or simply sitting with my thoughts— This practice sets the tone for the day, helping me lead from self-trust instead of self-doubt.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Claudia, and I’m the founder and owner of House & Harmony.
At House & Harmony, we specialize in creating timeless, functional, and beautifully curated interiors with a focus on kitchens, baths, and full-home renovations. What makes my brand unique is the way we bridge creativity with practicality—we don’t just design for aesthetics, we design for real life. Every space is tailored to reflect the client’s lifestyle, while also enhancing flow, comfort, and harmony in the home.
My story is rooted in a passion for transformation—taking a blank canvas, or even a challenging space, and turning it into something that feels warm, inviting, and aligned with the people who live there. Over the years, House & Harmony has grown into a full-service design studio, offering not only interior design but also cabinetry solutions through Medallion and Design-Craft, which allows us to deliver custom details that elevate each project.
Right now, building strong partnerships with contractors and architects, and creating interiors that blend style with function at the highest level. What excites me most is not just the finished spaces, but the process of co-creating with clients to bring their vision to life.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
A lack of communication can weaken bonds between people, and unresolved conflict often allows resentment to grow. Yet, accountability and forgiveness can go a long way in restoring a relationship. Approaching an apology with compassion and empathy creates the space for understanding, clears the air, and helps both people move forward in repairing their connection.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most is imposter syndrome. For years, it made me question my worth and hesitate to step into bigger opportunities. Throughout my career, I’ve learned to release that fear and trust that my talent and ideas are worthy of being heard and seen. I bring authenticity and uniqueness, and people appreciate that- both in my work and in my approach.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
I rely on my clients’ ideas because my role is to truly listen to their needs and visions, then transform those ideas into spaces that are both functional and aesthetically beautiful. My goal is always to surprise them—in the best way—by delivering something that not only reflects their vision but also exceeds it, offering solutions and details they may not have even imagined.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I only had ten years to live, I would stop people-pleasing and live fully and completely unapologetically. Oftentimes, we are trying to fit into expectations or meet others’ approval. Instead, I’d honor my truest self in every decision, every relationship, and every moment—choosing authenticity, joy, and freedom above all else.
