We’re looking forward to introducing you to Dr. Leah Helin. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Leah, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings begin with a 4 AM wake-up call, dedicated first to my two dogs (a Vizsla and a German Shepard). After I dive into an workout session. This routine primes me for a productive day ahead. By the time I’m finished, I’m ready to start my day and see clients, from early to mid-afternoon. These first 90 minutes set the tone for my day, blending personal wellness with professional commitment.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Dr. Leah Helin, a Chiropractic Sports Physician based in Encinitas, California. I specialize in helping people recover and perform at their best using a combination of chiropractic care, soft tissue treatment, and movement analysis. My brand, Helin Health & Chiropractic, focuses on active care—empowering clients to take control of their health and build long-term well-being. What makes my practice unique is my approach that blends traditional chiropractic methods with innovative treatments like red light therapy, Cupping and Class 4 Laser, always keeping my clients’ specific needs in mind. Beyond my clinic, I’m also passionate about expanding my reach through consulting and creating content that educates and motivates people to live a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents taught me the most about work. From a young age, they instilled a strong work ethic at home, but what truly shaped my perspective was watching them lead by example. They ran businesses of their own, and seeing their dedication, perseverance, and drive for what they did really influenced my approach to both work and life
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Know that things will turn out quite better than you could have ever imagined.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m deeply committed to teaching people that their bodies have most of what they need to heal themselves and maintain long-term health. I believe the healthcare system should focus on identifying the root causes of issues, rather than just masking symptoms with medication. This approach takes time and dedication, but I am determined to help others understand and embrace this philosophy, so they can live healthier, longer lives.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
Not being more present in the moment. Time is fleeting so this is something I am working on.
