Story & Lesson Highlights with Dre Lewis of Northern California, San Francisco

Dre Lewis shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Dre, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity. That’s something everyone thinks they have, but not something everyone has. We have to morals: personal, family, business, street, etc all these things can have morals we either created through personal experiences or upbringings.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
With my extensive and passionate
experience in hosting live events, sporting competitions, and music festivals, I believe I
bring an electrifying presence that guarantees every audience from kids and adults alike – stays engaged, entertained, and actively participating. My ability to command a crowd while keeping the energy high makes me the perfect fit for this position.

My background includes hosting major events such as the most recent 2025 All-Star
Weekend, where I successfully engaged both young fans and seasoned spectators,
ensuring an unforgettable experience for all. I have hosted high school tournaments
featuring top athletes, thrilling dunk contests, and high-stakes three-point competitions,
delivering a very seamless and unique commentary with an interaction that heighten the excitement even more. Additionally, my role as a hype man for major Hip-Hop and R&B artists on tour, as well as my participation in Rolling Loud events, has refined my skills in
captivating diverse audiences with dynamic energy and charisma.

Including understanding the importance of warming my vocal cords before all events. What sets me apart is my ability to read the room, adapt my delivery to match the energy
of the event, and create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels involved.

My professionalism, stage presence, and ability to seamlessly transition between segments ensure smooth event flow while maintaining a high level of enthusiasm. I thrive in fast- paced environments and am skilled at improvisation, ensuring that no moment feels dull.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My dad Herm Lewis knew it since 1992

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I always thought about giving up. But then I always think, I’ll have more people thats close to me asking me why I gave up, than those same people telling me that I was doing good when I hadn’t gave up yet. So I’d rather keep going and making sure people just don’t hit me to tell me good job so I have even more of a reason to not respond when I’m doing bigger numbers. Because end of the day, only person that’s going to tell you, you’re doing good everyday. Is the person in the mirror. Small steps, small affirmations.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. There’s no sugarcoating anything I am doing. Now do I show the public all of the real me? Of course not, that full course menu isn’t for the entirety of the public. No one’s fully authentic version of themselves should be shown in public, but you shouldn’t hide your real version either. But the world we’re living in now, you got folks who hasn’t gone to the dentist in 5 years, but Instagram say they’re doing numbers. Don’t check me, check your back tooth.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Going to sleep earlier lol
