Story & Lesson Highlights with Goldie Graham of minnesota

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Goldie Graham. Check out our conversation below.

Goldie, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Definitely intelligence!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m an interior designer and founded Golden Design Group in 2022. Forget boring beige and predictable palettes – Golden Design Group is here to inject some personality (and a whole lot of cool) into your space. I’m a self proclaimed wizard at making a small budget look like a million bucks, proving that you don’t need a trust fund to live in a space that’s both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. From full-blown renovations to simply decluttering that “catch-all” room that’s more “catch-nothing,” I tackle every project with gusto and a touch of cheeky charm. And don’t worry about being in Minneapolis – I work my magic nationwide, turning homes across the country into Instagram-worthy havens.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
It’s not my earliest memory, but in 2013 I stood on a stage and taught yoga to 10,000 people in the beautiful of Vancouver, and then handed the microphone to the Cold War Kids to begin their concert.Rumor has it, they were in the crowd taking my class with the people! It was pretty epic.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
Oh, I’ve never hid my pain. I believe the struggles we go through in life provide us an opportunity to relate to more people that we may not have, otherwise. Pain can be used to fuel so many beautiful things in life. Everything is perspective, and we all have a choice to view our experiences through a lens of our choosing. Choose wisely.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Very much so. Who I am on social media, is who I am in person. I would find it terribly exhausting to have multiple personas. I consider myself an extroverted introvert. I am very comfortable around people, crowds of various sizes, but recharge by being alone.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
Skydiving. I really think I need to skydive.
