We recently had the chance to connect with Jasmine Astorga and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmine, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity without a doubt. I can honestly say I AM the same person when no one is looking as I am the same person with my family or in a room full of strangers. And really look for that in people I associate myself with.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a photographer and videographer for businesses and creators. I wanted to remove that added to do list from business owners and help them create more beautiful content.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship with my family. Through the ebbs and flows of life we may get distracted, loose sight of the true meaning of life, and may even wander off. But at the end we will always be united and there for each other.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
At about 24 years old during the Covid lockdowns. Like many trauma, past betrayal, and a lot of pain came back around and within 2 months I was in the therapists office and reading everything I could get my hands on to heal, grow, and never feel stuck like that again. That was the moment I refused to ever give anything or anyone my power. Would you rather to be a victim or victorious?
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
As much I love creating and being “artsy” within the last five years my life perspectives have increasingly changed and I have become much more vocal about them. I am currently transitioning on to other endeavors about simply speaking truth and fighting the gaslighting many are influenced by today’s society. I have decided I can no longer take it as it is affecting my young family members and I refuse to stand idly by.
At the moment to soon to mention or tag anything maybe next time.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Of course, back to the first question. Because I move with integrity.
