Jody, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
When I am not working, I am volunteering to run kids football clinics. I have been doing this for over 20 years and nothing quite gives me the same satisfaction as when kids or parents come up to me, my wife or my daughters and tell them what a profound effect I have had on them.
My mom always taught me to ‘Give back” and that is what I feel this is doing, bit also seems to be extremely self regarding
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jody Munro and I own and operate Chammyz clothing. For 30 years, we were a highly successful manufacturer in the sports apparel business, having created our own specialized fabrics for people who enjoy water sports as our fabrics were designed for immediate use AFTER water sports as they had a unique ability to remove moisture and evaporate, unlike most textiles that remain wet and heavy. Unfortunately due to COVID, we were shut down for almost 3 years and lost most of our retailers as well as the accounts receivables owed to us, forcing us to revert to an e-commerce business model, concentrating on the remaining stock we had produced and the new item we had just introduced, Chammyz, ‘all natural’ dog towels. We recently started our quest to find a new fabric to jump start the apparel, but in the interim, we are selling our Chammyz doggy towels and people and dogs are just loving them:) www.chammyz.com
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Meeting my wife and best friend of over 30 years changed my life and how I look at life and people in general
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
There are no limits to what you can achieve if you are dedicated and put your mind towards your goals!

That I am %100 dedicated to being the best husband and father I can be as in the long run. that is what really matters to me!
