Keao, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
Many people are struggling with the loss of a pet. Dealing with a type of grief that is gutting and life changing, some people feel no one else understands their pain. We do. My work as an Animal Communicator has evolved into encompassing the many facets of pet loss grief. I truly want people to know they do not have to struggle by themselves. There is hope and support for them. They are not alone.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Keao Love, I am an Animal Communicator specializing in Pet Loss Grief. Seeing the pain of so many people who have lost their pets led me to become a certified Grief Educator. Having this additional knowledge adds a unique experience to my services as an Animal Communicator. Being there for my clients through the entire life span of a precious companion has been quite an honor.
Most people do not realize that you can continue to connect with your pets even after they have crossed over. I help them with this heartfelt connection.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
Doubt. Even I was skeptical at first of my gifts of communicating with animals. I myself needed to have the proof, the confirmation that I was in fact connecting and delivering their messages accurately. I realized that was fear. This work isn’t always accepted – and this is truly ok. I released the need for acceptance of those who do not support my work because it’s truly not about me. It is about one’s own belief system. I am not here to prove anything. I am here to be of service and enhance human relationships with their beloved pets and animals.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Acceptance of being who I am and embracing the fact that I see the world differently played a role in healing an old story of not being seen and being shunned for being so different.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
We, as humans have got to understand that we are a part of nature. We ARE nature. We are not separate. We are here on Earth WITH the animals. They are absolutely our family members in our home. They have feelings, emotions, intelligence and express love. We must have empathy for all animals – domestic and in the wild.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
The fact that everyone can do what I do. It’s one of my favorite aspects to share during a session – people are already communicating and connecting with their pets in many different ways. Most people already know this and once it is acknowledged and confirmed by the pets themselves, even deeper connections can be felt. The key is to anchor the feeling of knowing in your heart and trust your own gut instincts. I am so honored to have the opportunities to witness this level of love and communication between the animals and their humans.
