Story & Lesson Highlights with Lauren Fields of Rancho Santa Fe

We recently had the chance to connect with Lauren Fields and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Lauren , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I start my day with intention. My phone sleeps in the kitchen so I can wake up without distractions. The first thing I say is, “Thank you for this day. I’m grateful for all the amazing things that are about to unfold. Lauren, I love you.” Then I step outside to play with my dog, Ziggy, and soak in the morning sun before heading back inside for my AG1 greens. After that, I align my energy with a short meditation or healing frequencies while sitting under red light therapy, complete my morning skincare routine, and move my body—usually yoga or reformer Pilates.

Those first 90 minutes are sacred. It’s my time to give back to myself before responding to the demands of others or running a business. It keeps me centered, intentional, and ready to lead from a grounded place.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Lauren Fields, founder of Fieldswell — a wellness and media brand built on the belief that feeling well is the foundation for everything we create in life. We blend inner work with outer reach through coaching, community experiences, and The Fieldswell Podcast.

My background in psychology, hospitality, and wellness, along with my journey of healing from a traumatic brain injury, shaped my mission to help others reconnect to themselves and design aligned, fulfilling lives.

Today, my focus is on building The Fieldswell Wellness Sanctuary and Fieldswell Studios in Rancho Santa Fe, CA — multisensory hubs where wellness, self-expression, and consciousness come together. These spaces are designed to help individuals come home to themselves, share their story with authenticity, and radiate confidence — both on camera and in life.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I grew up riding horses — ponies at first — starting at age six. I spent nearly every day at the stables and was competing most weekends, riding multiple horses a day for over a decade. The sport demanded everything from me — focus, grit, and the ability to get back up after every fall.

Those years shaped me. Being in the arena made me feel powerful — in control, determined, unstoppable. I learned that confidence isn’t something you’re given; it’s something you earn through hard work and repetition. I won countless ribbons and championships, but more than that, I built a mindset of resilience. That drive to keep showing up, even when it’s hard, has carried me through every chapter of my life since.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
The biggest was a horse accident where I woke up from a coma with a traumatic brain injury, unsure if my life would ever be the same. The second was a heartbreak that forced me to rebuild my sense of identity and purpose. In reflection, I’m grateful for both because they lit the fire that pushed me to become the best version of myself and to help others do the same.

When we fall, physically or metaphorically, we always have three choices: stay down, self-destruct, or rebuild. I’ve learned to always choose to rebuild. Each time I do, I rise with more strength, awareness, and purpose, tapping into new levels of who I am and what I’m capable of.

I challenge you to see your own struggles through that lens. What if this moment is a blessing in disguise? What might it be teaching you — about yourself, others, or life — that could make you stronger, wiser, and more evolved than ever before?

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
I hope so! Otherwise, I’d be cheating myself out of an authentic life. It’s funny because people often ask what I like to do for fun, and it’s exactly what I’ve built my business around: feeling well. When I’m not coaching, podcasting, speaking, or hosting events, you’ll find me reading personal development books, doing yoga or pilates, walking on the beach, traveling, or enjoying great food — all the things that fuel a wellness lifestyle.

I believe the closer your public self is to who you truly are, the more success and fulfillment you’ll experience. Even though I have a public persona, I deeply value my alone time and quiet moments. That’s where I recharge, reflect, and stay grounded in who I am.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop caring what other people think of me. This is something I’ve been getting better at, but if I only had ten years left, I’d fully let go of that need for approval. And I don’t mean it in a reckless way. I mean living with a deeper sense of freedom, authenticity, and alignment. I’d pour my energy into pursuing my greatest desires and expressing who I truly am without hesitation. I suppose that means I’d better start leaning into that NOW!
