Good morning Rachel, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I am definitely forging forward on my path! There will always be resistance when your success is thriving, That’s how you know you are on your path.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
As a certified and licensed instructor of the globally recognized Salimpour School—a SWANA legacy business, woman-owned cultural dance institution established over 77 years ago—it is both my professional responsibility and personal honor to continue this legacy through performance and instruction in San Diego, CA.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My father was the most influential person in my life. At a very young age he always encouraged me to be all that I could be. I never felt that there could be limits to the things I wanted to achieve because of him.
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
I miss the times of no social media and cell phones. Those times as a kid were priceless! Thriving in your imagination with new discoveries and self entertainment. Playing in fields, climbing trees, catching snakes and frogs, digging in rock piles, riding horses, chasing goats and chickens. Priceless!

How you treat people is what matters the most. When the value of that is gone, there is no recovery.
