We recently had the chance to connect with Toni Marie Flowers and have shared our conversation below.
Toni Marie, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
I love this question! When I’m creating — painting, taking photos, playing piano, or crafting jewelry — time simply dissolves. The world grows quiet, and I’m completely lost in color, rhythm, and texture. It’s in those moments that I feel most alive and most myself. I find myself again.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! My name is Toni Marie Flowers, and I’m the owner of Toni Flowers Photography.
I’m a self-taught photographer with a passion for capturing raw, emotional, and timeless moments. My journey began as a hobby while living in Japan, where I first discovered the joy of telling stories through my lens. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into a career after I began booking sessions in San Diego.
Now based in Las Vegas, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a variety of clients — including Hershey’s Chocolate World at New York-New York, Paymon’s Mediterranean Grill, and many others. Each project fuels my love for authentic storytelling and connection through imagery.
I’m also thrilled to share that I’m working on an exciting new project launching early next year — one that branches out from my photography business and will have me popping up at local Farmer’s Markets. Stay tuned — you won’t want to miss it! 🌿📸
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When my dog Bear Bear passed away a few years ago, it made me realize that I cared too much about insignificant things. My world shattered when he passed.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Performing, public speaking, and speaking up!
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Not quite. I feel like we present different versions of ourselves depending on the situation, environment, and who we are with. I am most myself when I am alone.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
Not traveling/exploring the world enough! There is so much out there to see 🙂
