Conversations with Sheree Trask

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheree Trask.

Hi Sheree, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I never thought writing books with and for people would be my path. However, I always loved getting lost in books and used my journal as my refuge. After writing for a health and fitness magazine while contracted at a local gym to support clients with health coaching, I was approached by an entrepreneur to ghostwrite a book for him, and my life changed in an instant. From that point forward, I dedicated my passion and purpose to using my gifts to help more voices shine. I’ve been writing professionally for just about 11 years now, and I cannot imagine another career path for myself. I love that I get to work with incredible people each day who are doing amazing things in the world. To guide their voice upward into more courage and impact is truly a dream come true.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing about this journey has been smooth. In fact, I always say, “I’m still figuring it out.” As we change, so does the path and I think that’s a good thing! I’ve had plenty of moments where I’ve questioned everything—am I really cut out for this? And I always come back to my soul and the calling I feel to be a voice for the voiceless or at least be a part of the story ready to be shared. I have been broken, using my 401k to “go for it” when I knew in my heart it was the right thing for me to do (despite how insane it sounds). I have reinvented how I do things; I have changed my programs, increased my rates, and said “NO” to potential clients when I needed the money (I am huge on alignment and feeling the full body YES in order to move). But all of that has led me here, and I am so grateful for it all.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a seasoned Ghostwriter and Book Writing Coach in Transformational Non-fiction (self-help, personal development, teaching memoir), as well as an author with my self-help memoir, Surviving Silence: A Healing Path to Living Out Loud After Trauma coming out October 15, 2022.

I work with coaches, healers, and transformational leaders committed to creating an impact using their gifts, knowledge, and story. I absolutely love supporting people who love deeply—the feelers and seekers of the world…what I call the “misfits and misunderstood.”

After having my work published with Hay House in 2018 (as a Ghostwriter), my love for telling people’s stories only grew. I am proud to have leaned into courage and said yes when the opportunity presented itself all those years ago—I am blessed to be living on purpose, with purpose. My clients are the best humans in the world!
