Today we’d like to introduce you to Shandra Crymes. 

Hi Shandra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey through the cosmetic industry has been nothing short of amazing. My mother didn’t care for the way I walked at an early age. So, at the age of 12, she enrolled me into modeling school. I found the idea of fashion interesting, but it was the makeup artistry aspect that captured my heart. I fell in love with cosmetics and how it could change a person’s appearance, simply but color placement. 

Throughout college, I worked in the cosmetics department of a major luxury retailer. I loved the challenges and the variety of people that I was blessed to work on. While working years in the cosmetic field, I noticed that there was a market that still needed growth. I found that the vegan cosmetic and skincare lines were either very pricey to the average working person or didn’t have the colors variety needed in today’s climate. So, I founded Shandra Stylez Beauty. A clean cosmetic line that is high quality and also is affordable to most people. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Oh there has definitely been moments of struggles. As a mother, manifestation coach, writer, and professional makeup artist, I found prioritizing time was an opportunity at first. I didn’t want to sacrifice quality of my line nor the quality of the other aspects in my life, especially family. There were times that I’d question if I should pursue such a huge endeavor while I still had minors at home. The interesting part about that is my children are a big part of the company now. They assist on many areas from marketing to design. 

My heart is full. Every day I know that I am doing my part to be of service to others as well as have a lovely time working side by side with my adult children.

At Shandra Stylez Beauty, we truly believe everyone is beautiful. Beauty is inclusive and something that shines from within. We celebrate the uniqueness found in everyone. I encourage everyone to feel beautiful no matter sex, race, age, or gender. I have taken years to introduce the perfect products to assist in enhancing the “true self “.

What matters most to you?
The most important thing to me and the foundation of my company is always leaving a place or person’s life better than I found it. Thus, when it comes to my cosmetics and skincare line, I make sure that the high-quality ingredients are affordable, good for most people and makes them overjoyed with the appearance of their complexion. No one should feel that looking great is an unattainable event in their life. Everyone should feel their best!
