Life and Work with Andee Love

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andee Love.

Andee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
For as long as I remember, I’ve craved community. In 2009 I graduated from Naropa University with a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and quickly began my work as a therapist focusing on mind/body healing. My time in graduate school laid a solid foundation for the work I do today. After working as a therapist for almost 5 years, I began to explore the world of entrepreneurship, finding success in several different businesses and focusing on my own personal growth.

During this time, I began to envision ways that would allow me to merge my education with my creative, business mind, and Andee Love was born. We started as a small online coaching practice, providing life coaching and digital self-help courses to women, but my desire and craving for community remained. One late spring evening in 2017 while walking on the beach with my husband, and now business partner, I said “wouldn’t it be amazing to create a community of women who travel the world together and dive deep into personal healing…”

That was the start of the evolution of Andee Love, and the day that the vision of our company expanded.

Since late 2017, we have shifted our focus, and now not only provide those original online services, but also serve women all over the world in intensive, immersive, in-person experiences that include travel to places like Tulum, Costa Rica, Maui, Big Sur, and Sedona for healing retreats, focusing on mind/body connection, community, and sisterhood.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, the road has not always been smooth. There have been so many times I have wanted to quit, throw in the towel, and go back to a 9-5, but then I remember why I started this journey in the first place. I have a huge vision. My desire to impact the world, serve and give back is much larger than any fear, struggle, or obstacle, so I just keep going.

Success is not always pretty. I’ve lost friends, I’ve been misunderstood, judged, and taken advantage of.

All of these lessons have made me stronger and more resilient. I’ve overcome severe anxiety, fear of public speaking and fear of large crowds.

If you have a big vision, a big dream, and if you know you are destined for something greater in life, trust that feeling.

My biggest piece of advice for anyone going after any big goal is lean into the fear. Feel it, but don’t let it take the driver seat. The ego can be our ally if we learn to understand what it’s trying to teach us.

Do the deep work, invest in yourself, ignore the haters and never give up. It is always the darkest before the dawn.

Please tell us about your work.
I work with women who have a desire to enrich their life. I focus on embodiment practices through my Soulflow Method, using the mind/body connection to uncover the deep wisdom that lives inside each of us. I also teach on conscious contribution, keeping impact and service at the forefront of our mission, completing at least one service project a year with my clients.

We are best known for our transformative in-person experiences, VIP Days and retreats, including our year long program, We Will Rise Mastermind.

I am beyond proud of the work that my team and I have accomplished in the last 4 years. I have guided hundreds of women from all over the world through various programs and in the last 2 years, we have had 4 cohorts of women commit to our year-long, signature program, We Will Rise Mastermind.

Most recently, I have created a facilitator program, The Love Vibe, an immersive & experiential 4-day breakthrough training for other coaches, teachers, speakers, and anyone who has a desire to create an impact in the world. This program includes my method & curriculum for teaching and hosting live events, workshops, retreats and group programs. This year we will host the event at Kripalu, nestled in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.

I am committed to bringing human connection into a digital space, changing the conversation from income to impact and continuing to be a model and example of what’s possible when you commit to your vision and take aligned, embodied action every day.

There’s a wealth of academic research that suggests that lack of mentors and networking opportunities for women has materially affected the number of women in leadership roles. Smart organizations and industry leaders are working to change this, but in the meantime, do you have any advice for finding a mentor and building a network?
Trust your intuition when looking for a mentor. Find someone who walks the walk and shares similar values as yourself. When I am seeking a teacher or mentor, I ask lots of questions, I don’t overthink my decision and I go with my feeling.
