Meet Josh Antonio AKA JA Young Wealth in La Mesa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Antonio.

Josh, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Born in Malabon, Philippines migrated with a single mother and brother to the Bay Area at the age of six. Music was always apart of my life. Parents were choir members of our church. I was also a member of the children’s choir. At age 12, I had my first boy group called “7Eleven,” which performed and choreographed classic hits. I grew up in Stockton moved to San Diego in 2018. Met Speakerboxx invited me to the studio-recorded my first track “How it All Started” Eventually met Kogniak and Johnny Rocket of KP Platinum Studios. Dropped a joint EP with Kogniak “Organic Clout” Now over 200 shows in opened up for artists like Compton Av, Twista, Mistah Fab & Sold our House of Blues for DJ Quik and the DoggPound. During this time, we also hosted a monthly artist showcase called “UpAllNightEnt” @upallnight.ent which gave local artists a platform to perform in front of their peers. Due to the pandemic, everything has been slowed down or stopped. Which led me to establish JA’s Lumpia and More @lumpiaandmore.ja. Which is Filipino food, our specialties are lumpia, adobo & Pancit. We cater & sell our products at food festivals & events. My vision is to eventually to have a food truck.

Has it been a smooth road?
I’ve been blessed so far with what I have, but nothing is never smooth. If it was that easy everyone would do it. There are always obstacles along the way. That’s why I always say having a strong mindset & a plan is the priority. Everything has two sides. Good or bad. Yes or no. You have to be prepared for anything at all times.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
